So, when I look around at our athlete’s shoes I have noticed that many of us are huge fans of the Free style  Nike shoes. One day some of us were walking to the gym and noticed we all had on the same sneakers. The best part is that the color of the shoe represents our personal style. One of my teammates has a pair in a four different colors just so she can have a pair to wear with every outfit. Our style is to be comfy yet stylish! Who wouldn't want to look good as we are walking around campus or get on and off the bus and have everyone look at them? I can tell you we sure do! We all know there is nothing better than getting compliments especially when it is on something most people have an interest in. What do you all think about the Free style Nike shoes? So I went around asking some of our student athletes if they know anything about lacrosse which most of us didn’t. One question asked if anyone knew who invented lacrosse. That was a resounding…no! Most of us didn’t even know it was invented in America. The Native Americans were actually the ones who made-up the game. It is awesome to know that we now have a new sport to learn about. Hopefully we will learn a lot more as we talk to players and watch the game. As an athlete it is always exciting to discover a new sport. Here are some of the differences we have learned about the sports.

This year lacrosse is being added to our athletic department. We are excited to add some more students to our close-knit group of athletes. After speaking to Coach Vedock, she gave me some insight on what lacrosse will bring to Columbia College. She states that lacrosse is “known as the fastest growing sport on two feet and will further diversify the athletic department." We are all very excited to see this unique sport come to our school. It is going to be a lot of fun going out to watch and support our lacrosse team. Welcome to Columbia College!
